Media Collaboratory President, Robert Tipton first took an interest in the art of moving images with a childhood love of stop motion animation and Universal monster movies. He now brings that love of storytelling, filmmaking, and graphic design to our growing family of customers and partners.

Meet our Collaborators
Arthur Rouse founded the business in 1982 as Video Editing Services, which immediately expanded to include all aspects of media production and in 2017 transferred ownership of the company to the employees. Rouse specializes in project development and management and the integration of all creative disciplines into a cohesive finished program.
Telling stories visually and creatively has always been at the heart of Sawyer’s identity. With a passion for all areas of production, this made working in media a clear choice. Sawyer spent his college career at the University of Kentucky working in video production classes and finding as many student films as he could to learn and grow in the field.
Our stable-mate here in the Media Collaboratory is Unmanned Services, Inc. A veteran-owned drone company, Unmanned provides high resolution picture, video and mapping support services utilizing the capabilities of remotely operated aircraft to many different industries.
Travis wears many hats. Some hats have him behind cameras, some have him pushing pigment and pixels with brush and mouse, while others have him writing and recording music. Each hat is selected based on the need of the moment.
Kevin Avery is a local filmmaker and Bluegrass Community & Technical College film program graduate who has several film credits to his name, including cinematographer and editor. You may catch Kevin traveling across the country working with seasoned director Tom White.
Perry has been in love with the creative process since he was filming skate videos on his first Sony Handycam. He has a diverse resume in creative fields, from recording studios on Music Row to art department credits in Hallmark movies.
Emilie ShuckProduction, Camera, Grip/Lighting Emilie has been one of our production superstars since she first interned with us in 2019. She initially graduated from Bluegrass Community Technical College with a emphasis in film production, and then Asbury University with an emphasis in Television Broadcasting.
